“I take it as an elemental truth of life that words matter.”

– Krista Tippett

Words make worlds.

Words shape how we understand ourselves, how we understand the world, how we treat others. Words are drugs; they influence our thinking, how we feel, how we respond to the world around us.

I write to learn about myself, to understand the world around me and my place in it, as an expression of my curiousity, and to connect with others.  Perhaps some of the words you read here will move you in some way.  Stay curious.

The space between.

The space between.

Talking with DD this morning. He wants me to write. I want to write. But I'm not. We talked about the space between. That space between where we are and where we want to be. That space between what we're currently doing, and what we want to be doing.  And how...

Landing

Landing

This entire event has been disorienting. I even had difficulty describing to myself what I am feeling. I told a friend I felt upside down.   I suppose that's the most accurate. I've not been literally upside down much in my life but when I have I remember things sure...

Grace and gratitude

Grace and gratitude
